CARIS featured on “Secret Millionaire” has drawn not only media attention (Haringey Independent, Hornsey Journal) but also attention from well wishers, donors, and offers of help with our work -supporting homeless families living in temporary accommodation. We have had high increase in phone calls for housing advice and assistance requests.
CARIS has been nominated as a chosen charity by Hornsey YMCA 10K and Childrens Fun Run. CARIS team will take part in this event providing art workshop, story telling, music and drumming.

I’ve just watched the episode of The Secret Millionaire with Kevin Morley. I was happy to see his generous donation to CARIS, but I was very concerned about the first single father we met on the program. He had a little girl named Mia, perhaps 4 years old. We were introduced to them – but then Kevin met the 2nd single father Neil and his 3 children & that is who he chose to follow up with and help. As Neil & his family had at least found a home – and the other father with little MIa was still in a hostel where he was concerned for his daughter’s welfare…my husband and I became very concerned about what happened to this other family. I trust that they’ve benefitted from CARIS’s good fortune, but please can someone let me know what happened to little MIa & her father? Do they have a safe place to stay now? Thanks very much & keep up the good work.
